Product update announcements and download links for CampWorks updates and patches are listed on this page. IMPORTANT: Please make sure CampWorks is not running when installing updates or the updates may fail. Also, ALWAYS make a safe backup of your database before running any updates. CLOUD Users will be updated automatically within a week of the release date.
Version Numbering:
CampWorks uses a specific 4 part version numbering system (ie 3.6.0.12) defined as follows:
1st Digit = Version: Complete software rewrite / platform change etc)
2nd Digit = Update: New features, functionality changes, or interface design changes
3rd Digits = Release: Bug fixes only
4th Digits = Build: Internal build number
Each time a new Update or Release is released the changes will be documented below. As of CampWorks version 3.7.0 the automatic update notifications will be turned on and CampWorks will notify you a new update is available. The full 4 part version number can be viewed by clicking on About in CampWorks. We recommend you always make sure your software is updated to the newest version.
All updates since version 3.6.3 are all inclusive so you just need to run the newest update to be up to date.

(09/07/23) Version 3.16.2
NOTE: We will continue to make minor enhancements and bug fixes as they are reported and will update the link below and post the current official full version number here. In version 3.16.2 we have fixed a number of minor issues from previous releases and added additional new features. A key focus in 3.16.2 is new accounting features. Over the last 6-9 months we have been developing a new cash accounting system. This system allows you to trace each payment back to every individual charge on the reservation (ie camping fees, reservation fees, POS charges, etc) which enables a new Cash Accounting tax report that accurately breaks down taxes based on when payments are received and calculates taxes then based on what items are being paid. We have also enhanced the accrual tax system and the accounting summary report. The accounting summary report now includes clickable sub reports that provide all of the detail that goes into the accounting summary report totals, making it much easier to quickly and easily understand the totals and to find mistakes. Another key enhancement is that we have provided a new option for printing/viewing/emailing confirmation, cancellation, thank you, and checkin or detailed payment receipts (full page version). The new option eliminates use of Crystal Reports for those operations and directly puts the letter in the email body instead of as a PDF attachment. This makes it easier for guests as they don’t have to click to open the attachment and also makes emailing and check in, much faster, especially if you have a large database. Another key change is that we have added new search / filter functions to make it easier to find guests/items in tables (ie POS items, guests, reservations, etc) throughout the program.

Also remember these best practices for updates (non-cloud based installations):
- Plan a good (not so busy) time to do updates in case you run into any problems.
- Perform a backup and make sure you have a safe copy of the databases before you start.
- Make sure to shut down CampWorks before running updates.
- Update the main computer (master/server) first and startup CampWorks to complete the update.
- Update all networked computers (no need to close CampWorks on main computer).

(05/11/23) Version 3.15.2
In version 3.15.2 we have fixed a number of minor issues and added several new features based on customer feedback. CampWorks can now support ACH payments as an additional payment option to payment cards. Contact us for details about setting up an ACH account. Also for those looking to modernize your payment processing version 3.15.2 now supports new modern looking Clover Flex and Clover Mini devices through CloverConnect in the US (Canada soon to follow). Also, on the payment side, we have added the option for a click to pay link to give guests an easier way to pay monthly statements via ACH or a Credit/Debit Card. For those of you taking online reservations, we have made it much easier to upload photos of your sites (CampWorks now automatically resizes images for you). Some of the other additions include improvements to online reservation robustness, cleaning fees, boat slip detailed descriptions for online reservations, ability to bill additional charges to another reservation, additional reports, ability to send or resend cancellation letters later (after cancellation process), additional payment tracking options for CashApp, Paypal, Zelle, Venmo, ability to see / edit names for stored payment cards, and cleaner telephone number formatting.
Important note about credit card processing: To support payment processing regulations and PCI compliance, there is a new prompt when processing a stored payment card. If the customer is involved in the current transaction, select “Customer Initiated”. If you are running a recurring monthly rent payment and the customer is not involved in this particular payment, select “Merchant Initiated” and check the recurring payment check box. Also note that surcharge rules have been updated to reflect states that do not allow surcharging.

In version 3.15 we have introduced a number of new features to improve operation efficiency. As usual, there are also a few bug fixes from previous updates. There are quite a few new features and enhancements in guest management, the reservation grid, new reservation categories, HTML email templates, new business rules, reporting, online reservations, long-term billing & management, just to name a few. CampWorks 3.15 Feature Introduction
(08/09/22) Version 3.14.4
This update focuses on data security and robustness, especially in multi-computer environments. It also fixes several bugs from previous releases in segmented stays, reporting, electric meter entry, and monthly billing. Several new features have also been added, including the ability to send HTML (formatted emails with pictures, colors, different fonts, etc) to enhance your professional image. There is also a new mass charge option, additional reservation transaction logging, and numerous other subtle enhancements.
(06/14/22) Version 3.14.3
This version adds support for new email authentication methods required if you are using Microsoft Exchange servers for email and your mail service provider requires Modern Authentication. We have also enhanced the cancellation process based on feedback from users to simplify the process and to cover additional situations. Also there are a number of bug fixes included to resolve reported issues over the last few months.
(04/20/22) Version 3.14.2
As reservations start to ramp up for the busy summer season, we have a new update ready to fix a few recently reported issues. Of course, we also couldn’t resist throwing in a few additional enhancements. Most notably, we have enhanced the cancellation process to make it more intuitive. Now you can press cancel and CampWorks will help you to decide what to do with the guest balance after cancelling the reservation (ie issue a refund, charge a cancellation fee, issue account credit, or even do a combination). This update also adds additional printing capability and resolves a few different printing and reporting issues, credit card expiration date updates with CardConnect, backup email notifications, and rate recalculation issues just to name a few.
(03/16/22) Version 3.14.1
Time to get ready for spring with a spring tune up. This update adds an additional online reservation capability to view availability and book a reservation for a specific resource (ie a cabin). This is most useful if you have a specific area of your website where you show pictures of a cabin for example and want to put a book now button next to the picture / info on that cabin so a guest can specifically see availabilty and book that particular rental space. In addition to the “Cabin Widget” this update has a few other enhancements and bug fixes.

We hope everyone had a great year and can now enjoy a little down time in what is usually the quiet period for most of our customers. We have continued our strategy of maintaining key partnerships for feedback and testing and spending time on site to enhance our products. Version 3.14.0 takes another step forward by introducing more new functions requested by our customers from visits last spring and this fall. This update introduces several key features to simplify / improve your process, enhance your hospitality, improve speed and robustness in network environments, and also enables CampWorks to be deployed as a cloud-based solution. We hope everyone is having a safe and profitable summer. We try not to make any major changes in the busy summer months. This update mostly fixes minor bugs from previous versions, but also adds a few new reports and other minor features. Everyone should run this update to ensure your software is at peak performance. Also note that we have added several new training videos to our web site for features that were released this spring (enhancements to online reservations, improved maps, guest confirmation process) so be sure to check those out to make sure you have a full understanding of how those features work. We recently completed our winter customer visits. Thank you to all of our gracious hosts. In our visits, we identified a number of issues that we wanted to correct from previous releases. This update fixes a number of issues and adds a few new reports and other minor features. (3/24/21) Version 3.13.0
CampWorks 3.13 is now available. This version includes multiple new features as well as a few bug fixes. Major new features include a simplified map setup process, a new guest confirmation process to help you with credit card disputes/chargebacks, the ability to link files to reservations & guest profiles, a powerful new date/rate rule setup section which helps you to customize rates to a greater extent and to setup rules, such as 2 day minimum stay on cabins during peak season, and new POS integration options to simplify and speed checkout when charging items to reservations. This update also adds significant new capability to online reservations, including the ability to add images and more site details for individual rental spaces, images for sub types, maximum occupancy limitations, interactive online maps for your guests to visually see which spaces are available, improved terms & conditions display, and better pet restrictions control. (10/01/19) Version 3.10.1 Is Now Available
A big thanks to all of the input over the last several months. With your support and feedback we continue to make CampWorks even better. Our Fall update is now ready and includes a long list of new features, enhancements, and some bug fixes from previous versions. All updates since version 3.6.3 are inclusive so if you are on version 3.6.3 or later you just need to run this latest update to be up to date. Some of the more notable feature additions/changes are:
- Added vendor info to POS
- New payment types (Comp, points, coupon)
- Ability to set maximum # of simultaneous reservations on a group site
- Cancelled reservations removed from manage groups screen
- Approval/decline/welcome/thank you messaged displayed on Ingenico credit card machine screens
- Maps are now scrollable
- Option to automatically charge a guaranteed site fee if the Requested RS# check box is checked on a reservation
- Eliminated tendered box if credit card payment to streamline process
- Removed password to enter practice mode
- Added support for SRED encrypted manual credit card entry devices and ability to manually enter cards on Ingenico devices
- Added new security feature options (require logon at startup, force password changes, strong passwords)
- New option to default # of guests on a res to speed entry
- Added new daily accrual accounting export method as an alternative to QuickBooks export
- Improved accuracy of Accrual Basis Tax Report taxable sales amounts
- Added 2nd Holiday/Event adder option
- IMPORTANT: Changed guests left to checkin/checkout reports and quicklists to be all inclusive of previous dates instead of only the current date. This is to help catch no shows, missed checkins, etc. All reservations prior to the current date should either be cancelled, deleted, or checked in. Therefore, if you haven’t been diligent about making sure status is accurate on old reservations, you will need to address these old reservations to make your guests left to checkin/out lists current.
- Several new reports and reporting updates
- POS option to use same user codes as CampWorks.
- Online Reservations now can extend time for those that need more time to make reservation
- Online Reservations improved restart after timeouts or no site found, or errors to make it easier to search again.
- Online Reservations now have option to charge guaranteed site fee

- Added option for Boat Slips to charge per foot using the normal daily, weekly, monthly charge rates
- Option to accept tips on credit card charges
- Removed average daily rate from confirmation letter and added a rate detail section
- Added minimum length field to warn if too small of rig/boat is in a large site
- Added new option to filter quicklists by rental space type (ie campsite, cabin)
- Fixed issue with rig info being duplicated

QuickBooks Integration:
In order to use the QuickBooks integration features, you first will need to download the QuickBooks Integration Library. Use the following link to download and install the library, then the integration features explained in the manual should be available. Note that you will need to follow the Setup instructions for in the getting started manual exactly to integrate CampWorks and Quickbooks.
